What do you think of the old french (provencal) name adelais?

adelais, when i'd use it, would have an umlaut (two dots) over the i and would be pronounced "ah deh lah ees" - accent of emphasis at the very end. it is an even older (or as old?) form of the german adelheidis, which is where the names adelaide and heidi come from... anyway... what do you think of the name adelais?? quirky and interesting? or too much? better as a first or middle? ... please note that i'm posting this via cell, hence no capital letters or accents. thanks!
